How Canon Makes it Possible to Print Selfies On the Go

Back in the day, printing photos had to be done in a photo studio or at home using a large and bulky printer. If you had been using Canon printers for a while, then you know that they did not offer portable and handy printers — until recently. You had to print your photos in a large paper and cut them to get the perfect fit. When the ink ran out, you had to get new Canon Inkjet Cartridges so you could continue with your printing.

Now, Canon has made things much easier by developing a pocket-sized printer that lets you print photos instantly whether you are on a roadtrip or on a plane. This portable printer is called the IVY Mini Photo Printer, and it allows you to print photos directly from your smartphone without using any cables.

This is Canon’s smallest printer to date, which prints high resolution, 2×3-inch photos or stickers in only a matter of seconds. The printer 4.7 × 3.2 × 0.7 inches and weighs 5.6 oz. It is a small white printer with 3 trim color options — mint green, slate grey, or rose gold.

The IVY printer can be controlled through the Canon Mini Print app by connecting it via Bluetooth. This app also allows you to add filters and effects to your photos, such as stickers, frames, and text. This printer uses Zero Ink Technology, or the ZINK, which means that you won’t have to keep buying Canon Inkjet Cartridges anymore. It uses a special photo paper to produce colored photos. The printer also has rechargeable batteries to make printing even more convenient.
