History of Brother Printer

History of Brother Printer

The company we’ve been trusting for years was established a hundred years ago by a clever Japanese magnate in Japan. The company continued to grow and now, Brother is deemed as one of the world’s most trusted companies when it comes home and office printing.

The Beginning

The company started as a sewing machine. Formerly, it was known as Yasui Sewing Machine Company. In the early years, the company has been producing and exporting high-quality sewing machines across the globe. By then, they started producing other technologies like washing machines and knitting machines, which led Brother to produce more home appliances.

When Brother Industries started producing machines for businesses around the year 1960s, they launched their first alphabetical typewriter. This alphabetical typewriter, the JP1-111, created a wide opportunity for the company to focus more on providing more machines for businesses.

The president of Brother Industries collaborated with the founder of Centronics, one of the leading computer printer manufacturers that happened to be his neighbor and currently looking for a reliable manufacturer. It led them to develop a brilliant idea in providing more printer machines.

In 1971, this collaboration produced a dot matrix printer 101. This was not an ordinary computer printer and was known as the world's first high-speed dot matrix printer in the year.

Later on, they were able to produce their own printers. They launched several machines such as the first Laser Printer HL-8 in 1987 and Laser printer HL-630 in 1994.

The company was able to produce more up to the present time. Today, they have HL-T4000DW, MFC- T4500DW, MFC-T910DW, MFC-T810W, Brother Lc103bk Ink Cartridges, and many more which offer a lot of features.

Brother Industries didn't stop supporting industrial technology. Its advancement inspires them to continue and strive more. They learn to adapt to change, which made them what they’re today.
